Description - Nitro Tiles have been engineered to be one of the toughest garage tiles on the market today. Easy to install and maintain, these hard plastic tiles have been engineered to resist staining from oil, gas, and most household chemicals. Constructed with impact resistant polypropylene plastic makes these tiles capable of withstanding heavy rolling vehicle loads. Featuring the ever so popular tread plate pattern, these tiles are certain to turn any garage from drab to the talk of the town. Nitro tiles are backed by a 3 year warranty.
Note: These tiles can be damaged under the weight of a car jack. We recommend using your car jack directly on concrete.
Material – Constructed of high quality impact resistant polypropylene (extremely durable hard thermoplastic polymer). This ensures colorfastness, durability, and chemical resistance.
Size – 12” x 12”
Thickness – 3/8 Inch
Weight – 0.62 Lbs. per tile
Recommended Uses – Nitro Tiles are the perfect multi use floor tile for any home or business. These hard plastic garage tiles are great as flooring for garages, trade show booths, in dealership showrooms, as flooring in storage sheds, in workshops, as car show display flooring and much more.

  • Nitro tiles are typically in stock and ready to ship. Orders ship within 1-2 business days of the order being placed.
  • An email will automatically be sent to you with your tracking information as soon as your tiles ship and tracking information becomes available.

Nitro interlocking tiles are easy to maintain. Cleaning of these multiuse tiles typically includes:
  • Vacuuming or sweeping any loose crumbs, dust, or debris from the tiles when necessary.
  • Hose off or damp mop the floor tiles with a mild soap and water mixture for tough or caked on dirt and/or stains.

Nitro Tiles are easy to install. Installation of these floor tiles typically includes:
  • Clean your sub floor so that it is free of all dirt, dust, grease, or other foreign material.
  • When installing the Grid-Loc tiles, we recommend starting in the front left corner of the room and working your way out from there.
  • Make sure the female side (loops) of the tile is facing away from the wall.
  • After filling the left wall with tiles and the adjacent wall, proceed to fill the rest of the room with whole tiles.
  • When you come up to a wall or object, don’t worry. Just measure the area and cut the tiles with a sharp utility knife and put the trimmed tiles into place.
  • When trimming the tiles into place, make sure you leave about a 3/4” space between the tiles and the wall or obstruction.
  • Once the tiles are in place, you can then snap in the edge pieces, if you purchased them.

    Q:

I was looking at the Nitro tiles in Sahara Sand, but I did not see corners and edges available in that color. If they are available, how much per piece? I am thinking of doing a 8X15 ft section in my garage. Thanks.

    A:

Currently our Nitro Tile edges only come in black. Eventually we will add other colors to our edging assortment to match our tile color offerings.

    Q:

In winter, My garage temperature can get as low as +/- 20 degrees. What do you do about snow and water drainage from cars?

    A:

Our Nitro Tiles will allow water and other liquids to seep between the tiles and flow underneath the the floor and out of your garage. If the garage is not graded to allow water to flow out of the garage or does not have a drain, over time the water will evaporate.

    Q:

What do you recommend for cutting the tiles other than a sharp utility knife?

    A:

Your can cut our Nitro Tiles with one of our Tile Cutters or with a table saw on low speed with either water or silicone to prevent melting.

    Q:

Is there only a "left" corner available on the edge pieces? I was hoping for a left and right to finish off the end by the garage door.

    A:

The corners only come in one direction. When creating a corner, you will use a corner piece with an edge piece next to it. You can create a corner on all sides of your floor with this method no matter where the corner is.

    Q:

Which tiles are the most durable? Which are best for Northern weather with salt on the roads? How do they deteriorate over time?

    A:

Our Nitro Tiles are very durable are great in northern areas where salt may be present on the road. These tiles do not deteriorate; they are made of polypropylene plastic. The only thing you may notice is that the diamond pattern may show some wear over time.

    Q:

Is the Nitro Vented Pattern an actual flow thru tile or does it just look like one? Can the Vented pattern be mixed with the Diamond pattern when installing?

    A:

Our Vented Nitro tiles are vented allowing water to flow through and under the tile. These tiles can be interlocked with both the Diamond and Coin patterned tiles.

    Q:

Want to use nitro tiles in AZ where temps get up to 105 degrees F in garage. Is this possible? Also thinking of doing some fitness workouts in garage, is the nitro ok for this or should I look at something else? Thanks

    A:

Our Nitro Tiles can be installed in AZ and can handle both extreme hot and cold. In fact, these tiles are installed in homes in AZ and are warehoused here as well. You can do fitness exercises on these tiles, but if you do end up having traction issues, we would recommend adding a rubber mat to your workout space. We don't recommend dropping heavy dumbbells or barbells on the tile surface due to possible cracking at the impact point.

    Q:

My garage floor is damaged with holes and uneven layout. Do I need to level the floor before putting the tiles down?

    A:

Depending on how uneven the floor is, our Nitro Tiles will install over the floor easily. If the floor is severely damaged, we do recommend repairing the floor. This will ensure the floor does not buckle when driven over. If repairing your floor is not a solution for you, we recommend installing our Diamond Nitro Rolls.

    Q:

Would you recommend or discourage using liquid nails when placing tiles on the garage floor? Particularly at the edges?

    A:

Our Nitro Tiles were meant to be installed as a floating floor. This helps to alleviate buckling issues that can occur when part of the floor is warmer than another part of the floor. You can use liquid nails on the edge, but we wouldn't suggest using it around the whole floor. We would suggest using it at the entrance to your garage which would get exposed to the most sun and heat. This can help to alleviate buckling and movement issues.

    Q:

My garage has a lot of dry old oil stains. Do I have to glue the nitro tiles? I think the garage was used as a machine shop.

    A:

Our Nitro Tiles are meant to be installed as a floating floor, so no glue is needed to install these tiles in your garage.

    Q:

Our garage is graded toward a center drain. Do you think the tiles will work?

    A:

Our Nitro Tiles would work perfectly for your sloped garage. Many people will use our Vented tiles over the drain to allow easy access for surface water to get to the drain. These tiles do allow water and other liquids to easily flow through the floor and under to any drains or out of the garage.

    Q:

Do you recommend an underlayment to reduce sound and shifting, or is it meant to be installed directly on concrete?

    A:

We recommend using an underlayment to assist with sound reduction.

    Q:

Is it rough to walk on without shoes?

    A:

The tiles are not 'rough' but are a rigid plastic. We recommend order samples to test with your foot sensitivity.

    Q:

Can the Nitro tiles be cut with a regular power tile saw with a tile blade (no teeth like a table saw blade) and water?

    A:

Our Nitro Tiles can be cut with a saw blade with water or silicone at a very low speed as not to melt the material.

    Q:

Will your Nitro tiles, grid lock tiles and nitro rolls at all be affected by radiant heated concrete floors?

    A:

Our Nitro Tiles and all of our hard plastic tiles are not affected by radiant heated concrete floors.

    Q:

Is Quiet Sound II underlayment required? Or is it just recommended for sound quieting?

    A:

Underlayment is not required under our Nitro Tiles, but we do recommend adding underlay under the tiles to provide added cushion and to make your floor quieter.

Excellent Garage Upgrade
5/5 Nitro Tiles
Chris D. from Summerville, SC
I am extremely pleased with how these tiles look installed in my garage. They are a very cost effective flooring option. I ordered the tiles on Tuesday and was installing them on Friday. The online designer makes ordering a snap. Turned out better than I had hoped. Really finishes the look of my garage.

Turned Out Fantastic!
5/5 Nitro Tiles
Arthur Reed from Rocky Mount, NC
I am attaching a photo of my redone floor, I think you will agree that it came out fantastic! I originally ordered a little over 400 sq. feet of the diamond pattern Nitro tiles to lay down on my garage floor. At first they looked perfect and I was extremely happy with them however t when the weather got warmer I noticed problems with the tiles that were in the direct sunlight. When I would open my garage door it would get so warm these tiles would expand. With the vehicles on them they had no room to expand and would buckle and it was very unattractive. I called your company back and after working with a couple of agents Garage Flooring Inc. decided to replace out the entire floor under warranty with vented tiles. I have since replaced the floor out and as you can see from the photo it looks fantastic. The new tile system provides a lot of room for expansion and I no longer have the buckling issues. So now quite frequently I leave my garage doors open and I love to show off my flooring! I have had comments on how nice it looks from everyone who has seen it. My vehicles look great on it and it really has that showroom feel. The price was more affordable that putting down epoxy and in my opinion it looks as nice as any garage floor I have seen.

Love It
5/5 Nitro Tiles
Phillip Basile from Fort Worth, TX
I cannot say enough how much I love my new garage floor after installing the Nitro Tiles. It was so easy with the online design software and I had no trouble laying the floor down. I did my 18x17 garage floor in under 4 hours by myself. I do not think a rubber mallet should be recommended. It should be required. Maybe garageflooringinc.com should include one :-) The team at GFI could not have been easier to work with and I had the impression that they genuinely care about the happiness of their customers. Every company should treat their customers this well. One little tip, I added a coat of floor wax and wow did that floor pop. I hated to drive the cars onto it.

Floor Enhancement
5/5 Nitro Tiles
DeltaDale from Oakley, CA
Been looking for concrete floor covering and came across this product by RubberFlooring. I was able to cover a standard size of 8X18 (typical one car size)for less than the known brand on the market. Function and looks are great. Once you figure out how the pieces go together, putting them together according to a pattern I drew up, becomes fairly easy. I used a rubber mallet to assist in locking the pieces together. No more cold floors and my pattern enhances my specialty trike vehicle. The folks at RubberFlooring are very consumer oriented and aim to correct any issues that you might come across. This tile is very easy to clean.

Almost perfect
4/5 Nitro Tiles
Anonymous from Chicago, IL
The product is almost perfect for my needs. There were only two problems: 1. On occasion the male tabs would snap when trying to connect them. 2. In direct sunlight the floor can "lift up". The first issue is solve by helping the tabs down into the female connector by using a flat balde screw driver is it seems too tight to push in. The second only occurs on hotter days with direct sunlight falling on the floor. When this happens they raise up, but return to their original form as soon as the sun has gone and they cool. I'm planning on using an adhesive to hold down tiles in those locations.

Joe Garage
5/5 Nitro Tiles
Joe from Pearl River La.
Very easy to install, did it by myself in about 4 hours for a 2 car garage. I would recommend this before putting down stuff like vinyl. I put Vinyl down the first time but when you turn your wheels on your car it rips it up. This tile is very durable. I like how easy it is to install just snaps into place with each other. Love it

Nice Look for a reasonable price
4/5 Nitro Tiles
Vivian from Atlanta
I purchased this tile a couple of months ago and just installed it today. It's been too hot for the last few weeks to do anything in the garage. The tiles installed rather easy once we discovered the best way to attach it to the adjacent tile. We even had our 6 year old daughter assisting because she wanted to get in on the action. Our garage size is about 20X18 and it took us approximately 3 hours to install. The hardest work was getting everything out of the garage to get the tile installed. Overall, I would recommend the tile. It definitely upgrades the look of our garage. We are happy with the way it installed and we are hopeful that it stands up to the test of time.
