3/4" Shock Mats are easy to clean and maintain. Maintenance for these vulcanized rubber flooring mats typically includes:
  • Vacuuming any loose dust, dirt, or debris from the rubber surface when necessary.
  • Occasional damp mopping of the rubber mats with a mild soap and water mixture. Some soaps commonly used include Dawn dish detergent and/or Tide laundry detergent.
Note: Do not use any solvent or oil style cleaners such as Pinesol, Lysol, Murphy’s Oil Soap, WD40, paint thinner, etc. since these types of cleaners will break down the flooring over time.

Is there any Flammability Test performed on this product shock mats?
Derek Gagnon
Our Shock Mats are tested and are Class III fire rated.
Will these protect ceramic tiles from cracking/damage if I'm doing Olympic lifts with bumper plates? And example would be doing 225- 300 lb deadlifts.
vincent
Our 3/4" Shock Mats would be enough to protect your ceramic or porcelain tile floor from being cracked when doing heavy deadlifts. These rubber mats are very shock absorbent, and will help to deaden the impact that is created when the weight is dropped.
I would like to put two of the mats together. Or is it possible to get a custom size? I am concerned that my treadmill will not lay flat on the area where the two beveled edges meet. Can the mat me cut? And if so, how?
Stacey
Our Shock Mats come in two sizes. If you would like a size larger than what you can get with our mats, we do offer this mat in a tile form that allows for larger and varying sizes. That product is called our Shock Tiles.
How easy is it to move these mats? Will I be able to roll them up after each workout?
Angela
Our Shock Mats are pretty easy to move. Our 4' x 6' mats can be easily rolled up and stored. Our 4' x 8' mats come in two 4' x 4' sections which are easy to roll up and store as well.
Will this mat protect wood floor from the impact of Olympic lifts?
Anonymous
Our Shock Mats will protect your wood floor from the impact caused by doing Olympic Lifts. These mats are very thick and are vulcanized making them non-porous and super strong.
Would this mat be suitable over a carpeted area for jumping and cutting type of workouts as well as weights? Will it slip? Is it too hard of a surface for those movements? Thanks.
Mike
Our Shock Mats are great over carpet. These mats are perfect for jumping and cutting exercises as well as for dropping weights. These mats are very thick and shock absorbent making them great in any space. Rubber is naturally slip resistant, so it will not slip over your carpet. And since this mat is heavy, it will stay in place even more. If for some reason movement does happen, we recommend using some double sided carpet tape under the mats. Over light colored carpet, we do recommend using a plastic sheet under the mats to keep it from staining the carpet underneath.
How do these mats interlock with beveled sides?
Joshua
Our 4' x 6' Shock Mats do not interlock at all. Our 4' x 8' Shock Mats have an interlock between the two pieces that make the mat. This interlock is between the two pieces. Outside of that one interlocking section, neither mat can be interlocked with another mat to make a larger section. If you would like to create a larger flooring surface with our Shock Mats, you will want to install our Shock Tiles which are the same as our Shock Mats just in an interlocking tile configuration.
How does the mat hold up to HIIT workouts? Also, will it slip on vinyl flooring (fake wood planks)?
Natasha
Our Shock Mats are perfect for HIIT workouts. This mat is very shock absorbent and slip-resistant, which is great when you are working up that sweat. This mat will not slip on vinyl flooring.
How much sound would this absorb dead dropping 220 lbs?
Michael
Our Shock Mats have an STC of 49 and an IIC of 56.
Are these mats made in USA?
Anonymous
Our Shock Mats are made right here in the USA.
I'm interested in using these to build an outdoor weightlifting platform, so the mats will get some Sun exposure. How long will these mats hold up if I keep the platform covered most of the time?
Anonymous
Our Shock Mats will last for a very long time outdoors. The only thing you will notice is some fading if the mats get a lot of sun exposure over time.
Is the 4' x 8' - 2 piece shock mat = 2 - 4' x 4' sections or 2 - 2' x 8' sections?
Ron
The 4' x 8' Shock Mat is two 4' x 4' beveled pieces.
Do these emit a strong rubber odor?
Anonymous
Our Shock Mats will have a rubber smell to them that will dissipate after some time. These mats do not have a strong rubber smell as a smell mitigating agent is added when making the mats. But if you are sensitive to smells, we do recommend washing the mats with a mild soap and water solution and letting them air dry.
I'm moving into an upper floor apartment and do HIIT workouts. I was told by my apartment complex that the floor below me will be able to hear me quite audibly. Will this mat prevent the bottom floor from hearing me workout? Any recommendations for other mats to layer with this mat for even higher sound and shock absorption or would another mat be better for what I'm looking for? Thank you.
Molly
Our Shock Mats would be the best flooring choice for any person doing workouts in an upstairs apartment or gym to help reduce the amount of noise transferred below. You still will get some noise below, but it will not be as much as if you didn't have this mat.
Can the mats be cut in half without difficulty or without compromising the sound reduction qualities? I need 2 pieces of 2x6.
Damien
You can cut our 3/4" Shock Mats in half with a sharp utility knife and a straight edge. This is a vulcanized mat, so it will take a few cuts to get through the mat. When you do cut these mats, there is potential for there to be some reduction in the sound reduction, but not enough to prohibit cutting the mat.
We use these with great results around food preparation. What is the best way to clean them and are there ideal chemicals and/or processes to use?
Brian
The best way to clean our 3/4" Shock Mats is with our Rubber Floor Cleaner and Degreaser. You would apply this to your flooring with a synthetic mop head. If you don't have this cleaning solution, you can also use warm water and a mild soap solution. You would apply it the same way as the cleaner. You would first want to sweep and large dirt and debris and then mop the floor and air dry.
Is it safe to use this on a wooden floor for lifting Olympic weights?
Saurabh Datta
You can use our 3/4" Shock Mats over a wooden floor for Olympic lifts. These mats are very shock absorbent and will help to protect the subfloor when dropping heavy weights.
Regarding the 4 x 8 Shock Mat, which comes in two pieces, is the surface totally flat and smooth where the two mats interlock? This is going under a treadmill.
The 2 - piece 3/4" Shock Mat interlocks very tightly and will be smooth and flat where the two mats interlock.
Do you make a ramp tile for your 3/4” shock mats?
Cary
Our 3/4" Shock Mats don't need a ramp as each mat is beveled. For the single mats, all four sides are beveled. The 2-piece mats are beveled on three sides. These bevels are essentially built-in ramps for each style of mat.
Building code in my area requires flooring to meet the requirements of DOC FF-1 pill test ASTM D2859 and NFPA 253 Class II, 0.22 watts/cm2 or greater. Does this product satisfy these requirement? If so can you provide documentation for the inspector?
Tony
Our Shock Mats are rated Class III. If you would like a copy of the pill test done on this product, please feel free to reach out to one of our Flooring Heroes via email, chat, or phone.
I'm looking for something that will protect my garage floor from cracking open when I drop weights. Will this pad protect my floor?
James
Our Shock Mats were designed with dropping weight in mind. These mats are 3/4" thick and feature a waffle back that helps to absorb sound and impact noise and will help to diffuse the impact from impacting your subfloor. This mat is the best garage gym mat we offer.
What is the packaging like for the 4x8 shock mats? Are they broken in two pieces and boxed or are they stacked flat on a palette? I need 10.
Chantal
If you order on 4' x 8' Shock Mat, it will come in two boxes. If you order more than two mats, they will be shipped on a pallet.
Can two 4x8 sections be placed together without the bevel in between them?
Anonymous
Our 4' x 8' Shock Mats come with a bevel so there would be no way to put two mats together without the bevel. If you would like to create a larger space than 4' x 8', we recommend installing our Shock Tiles.
Do I need an adhesive for my this mat on top of a painted concrete floor. My problem with other mats is sliding. I do p90x and there’s lots of quick movements and cannot find a mat that will not slide underneath me.
stacey mills
You will not need to add adhesive to the bottom of our Shock Mats to keep them in place. They are heavy enough to stay in place while exercising.
I need a mat that is 2'x8' for each side of an Olympic platform. Can these be ordered in a custom size?
Derek Gibbs
You can get a custom sized Shock Mat. If you are interested in this, please reach out of one our Flooring Heroes, and they will be happy to assist. You can reach them via phone, chat, or email anytime.
Do these mats contain toxic chemicals such as phthalates, PAHs, VOCs, etc?
TDUB
Our 3/4" Shock Mats do not contain any harmful substances and are free of any toxins and hazardous material. So this product is Phthalate free, PAH free, and VOC free. If you would like to view the MSDS on this product, please feel free to reach out to one of our Flooring Heroes via email, chat, or phone.
Is the 4x6 mat one piece? Or does it come in several pieces like a puzzle which you have to put together?
adrian
The 4' x 6' Shock Mat is a one piece mat. The 4' x 8' mat is a two-piece mat.
How would these work on a tile floor? I have some interlocking mats I could put down and then have these shock absorbent on the top, but I am still worried about shattering my tile.
Our 3/4" Shock Mats would be one of the best products to use over a tiled floor. These rubber mats are extra thick and would help to deaden the blow of a dropped weight so that it does not travel to the subfloor below. You can always put flooring over the tile and then add these mats, but the mats on their own would be sufficient to keep your tiled floor safe.
Is the 4x6 mat one piece?
adrian
The 4' x 6' Shock Mat is a one-piece mat.
Can I do P90x type cardio, jumping workout on it without the mat moving?
Chicagogirl
You can do P90X type cardio and jump training on these mats without it moving around. These mats are heavy duty with the 4' x 6' mat being 100 pounds and the 4' x 8' mat being 126 pounds. It would take a great deal of force to get these mats to move.
Are the mats ok in cold temperatures? I live in a cold State during the winter and would like to use these in my detached garage in the winter.
Customers have purchased our 3/4" Shock Mats in all 50 states, Canada, and Mexico in both indoor and outdoor applications with great success. These mats are made from recycled truck tires, and just like the tires on your car can withstand very high temperatures and extremely low temperatures without falling apart or breaking.
Will these work over medium pile carpet?
Since our Shock Mats are so thick and heavy, they will install easily over low pile, medium pile, and plush carpet.
Is the top of the 3/4" shock mats ok for bare feet?
The top of our 3/4" Shock Mats is ok for bare feet. The top texture is a slight diamond pattern, but it is not pokey, so it will not cause discomfort when walked upon.
I'm setting up a weight training area in my garage. I have concrete floors and want to just set up a small space in the middle of my one car garage. I will park my car in the garage and move the car outside whenever I work out. I'm thinking about purchasing the 3/4" shock mats, 4 x 8 feet and positioning it so that the car will drive over the mat but so the tires would be on either side of the mat and be free of the weight of the car when it is parked? Can these mats withstand the wear and tear of a car rolling over it several times a day or would you not recommend this type of mat due to the daily abuse that it would be subjected to?
Spencer
Our 3/4" Shock Mats can handle a car going over them on a constant basis. The only thing that you will affect the mats is if there is any oil spilled on them from the car. Over time, this oil will break down the mats.
I do step aerobics over ceramic tiles. My problem with other mats is that they move as I workout. Will this hold its place, not slip?
Maria
Our 3/4" Shock Mats will stay in place when doing aerobics on them over ceramic tile. These mats are beveled and have good traction on the bottom. If for some reason, there were movement, we suggest adding some double-sided tape to the bottom of the mats.
Can these be placed under a treadmill that uses rolling wheels to incline? Also, will they tend to slip on a carpeted floor?
You can place a treadmill with wheels over our 3/4" Shock Mats. The wheels will not damage the rubber mats as these mats are vulcanized, making them more durable than standard rubber flooring. These mats are very heavy and have a bottom that helps to make them slip resistant. If for some reason while working out on the mats were to move, you can use some double-sided tape under the mats to keep them in place.
If I purchase one 4' x 8' mat will the two pieces have a flat side to push together?
Brendan Lane
Our 4' x 8' mats come in two pieces that have an interlocking edge in the middle.
Can these mats be cut down to size using a standard utility knife? If not, can they be cut by some other convenient method?
Donald
You can cut our 3/4" Shock Mats with a sharp utility knife and a straight edge. Since these mats are vulcanized and are 3/4" thick, it will take a few cuts to get through the mats. The only other type of knife that you could try to use on the mats is a sharp bread knife, but that too will take some elbow grease to get through these mats.
Will this mat survive being rained on?
Ak
Our 3/4" Shock Mats are very weather resistant and would not be affected by the elements. These mats are vulcanized mats meaning they are very durable and are non-porous. The only thing you will notice that over time, the mats will fade in direct sunlight.
Are the shock mats good for absorbing the impact of Atlas stones? I want to put one in my basement at home. Thank you.
PJ
Our Shock Mats would be great for absorbing the impact from Atlas Stones. These mats are vulcanized, which means they are built strong and are very durable. These mats have a waffled back, which helps to disperse the impact of the stones on your subfloor, helping to protect it.
I am looking for a mat that will work well for jump roping and box jumps. Does this mat absorb the impact, thus making it harder on joints for repetitive jumping?
Our Shock Mats work really well as impact flooring for high impact workouts. These mats feature a waffled backing that helps to absorb the shock of repetitive up and down motion protecting your subfloor and your joints.
I want to drop 400 lbs overhead on this mat, with bumper plates, in my garage. Will my neighbors have to worry about the sound?
Nicholaus W Coritana
Our 3/4" Shock Mats will greatly reduce the noise generated from dropping weights, but will not eliminate the noise. So depending on how hard you drop the weights, there is potential for your neighbors to hear you still.
Can mats be used for Olympic lifting?
Sean Kelliher
Our 3/4" Shock Mats were designed for use when doing Olympic lifts. These mats are very shock absorbent and will help protect your subfloor when dropping heavy weights.
Is the 3/4" 4'x8' shock mat only available as 2 separate 4'x4' mats, or is there a 1 piece 4'x8' option?
Erica
Our 4'x8' Shock Mat only currently comes in a 2-piece mat.
This was asked in your Q&A but not answered. I cannot use the tile mats, need 4 x 8 but do not want the bevel edges because you cannot mate them together. Can you leave the bevel off?
Mike Hanson
Currently, our 3/4" Shock Mats only come beveled. So there isn't any way to get them without a bevel.
Could you fasten mat to the wall to throw wall ball or slam balls at it? Or would it tear?
You can fasten our 3/4" Shock Mats to a wall. They are vulcanized and will not tear. This is one of the most durable mats that we offer.
Can you put a name and logo with custom colors?
Lance
If you would like a logo added to your Shock Mat, that can be done. All you would need to do is reach out to one of our flooring heroes via phone, chat, or email, and they will be more than happy to assist you.
Is the 47" x 94" 2-piece 3/4" Shock Mats divided into 2 - 47"x 47" mats?
Vic Hernandez
Yes, the two-piece mat features 2 - 47" x 47" interlocking mats.
Do these mats interlock if I want to buy four (4) ?
If you love the Shock Mats, but want a larger area, then you will want to purchase our Shock Tiles. These tiles are 2' x 2' tiles that can be interlocked to create any size mat you desire.
Do the mats actually interlock like individual tiles or do the mats need to be joined by tape or something to create a rough 8 ft by 8 ft mat?
Tony Bell
Our Shock Mats are beveled all around with the only interlocking section being the interlocks to join the 2-piece mat together. If you wanted to join multiple mats together, we would suggest placing some double-sided tape under the mats. To truly make a larger area with these mats, we recommend buying our Shock Tiles. This tile is made the same was as the Shock Mats but in a tile form.
You have me convinced, this is great for dropping heavy barbells, however much does it flex/dampen under your feet when squatting heavy weights? More than 225lbs. Would you recommend something different for that activity?
Khaled
You personally will not notice any dampening or flexing of the mat when you drop heavy weights on our Shock Mats. These mats are preferred by anyone doing heavy Olympic lifts due to this fact.
Are these mats strong enough to support a squat rack being placed on top? The total weight would be 300-400 pounds.
Our 3/4" Shock Mats are durable enough to handle a heavy squat rack on top of them or any other heavy equipment.
Regarding the 4' x 4' interlocking mats (to get 4' x 8'): are any special tools required?
No special tools are needed to interlock our 2-piece Shock Mats together.
Would these mats work over saltillo tile, or would they need a layer in between? If so, what would you recommend for a layer in between? Thanks!
margo
Our 3/4" Shock Mats can be installed over saltillo tile without needing a barrier between the mats and the tile. These rubber mats can be installed over any hard, flat surface like concrete, plywood, asphalt, existing floors, and the like.
Will this isolate vibration from a front load washer on the second floor?
Silvia Gomez
Our 3/4" Shock Mats could be used as an antivibration mat for washer and dryers. We also do offer a washer/dryer mat that does the same thing.
Can I get a custom logo on it?
lex
If you would like to add a logo to your mat, please reach out to one of our Flooring Heroes via email, chat, or phone and they will be able to go over the process for getting a logo added to a mat.
What is the weight of the 4'x6' mat?
Emily
Our 4' x 6' Shock mats weigh about 100 pounds and our 4' x 8' - 2-piece mats weigh about 126 pounds.
Will Shock Mats/Tiles work for building a small, semi-mobile sprung floor (for Irish Dance and Belly Dance) to meet the following criteria: 1) Protect joints from repetitive, high impact 2) Dance rhythm from fiberglass taps on shoes can be crisp but dampened upon impact 3) Anti-slip but not so strongly that the floor will "grab and trip you" 4) Withstand impact of a fairly sharp sword blade. If not, could a piece of wood be safely affixed to the top of the mat/tiles? Thank you.
We wouldn't recommend dancing on the top of our 3/4" Shock Mats and Tiles. Rubber is very slip-resistant and would cause injuries while the dancers are dancing. Now you could place a Marley type floor over the mats and tiles and dance on that. The rubber flooring would dampen the amount of sound transference between floors. If you used a sharp blade on our flooring, it would, for sure, cut the flooring. If you didn't want that to happen, then you could place a plywood piece in the area where this would occur.
Hello - I plan on using this underneath a portable sprung dance floor that is 4ft x 6ft. My questions are: 1.) Will this stay in place underneath my dance floor? 2.) Which one is the better option - mat or tile? I prefer exact fit since I'll be disassembling after usage to since setup. This will be in my living room. 3.) Will this absorb the sound and impact of pounding type dances such as flamenco? Thanks in advance!
Our Shock Mats can be used as a sound absorbent layer under a portable sprung dance floor. These mats are very heavy and will stay in place while performing any type of dance. These mats are pretty easy to move and store. Rolling them is sort of a challenge, but if you don't need to, you can just easily move it out the way. These mats were meant to be used as flooring for heavy Olympic lifting, so they will be able to absorb and mitigate the sound transmission that occurs when performing dances on top of the floor.
What size mat is in that photo? The photo where there's a guy doing barbell rows.
George
The size of the mat in the main image for this product is a 4' x 8' two-piece mat.
Can this mat be placed on a hardwood floor and under a Bowflex Max Climber Elliptical? I want the mat to add stabilization when the elliptical is in use.
Emma
You can use our 3/4" Shock Mats over a hardwood floor under a Bowflex Max Climber Elliptical. These mats will help to provide optimal stabilization while in use and help to reduce any vibration and noise coming from the machine.
I bought the 3/4" Shock Mats 47" x 94" - 2 piece mat. How do the two pieces go together, so there's not a giant crack in between as they have beveled edges?
james m prusko
Our 2-piece mats are interlocking, meaning where the two mats joing together there will be interlocking teeth that keeps them together.
Would this kind of mat be good for placement under a heavy piece of aerobic equipment like an ARC trainer (404 lbs) or similarly heavy treadmill?
Jim
Our 3/4" Shock Mats were meant to be placed in areas where heavy Olympic lifting would occur. Typically this is in an area where a squat rack would be placed, so placing a piece of equipment over the mats won't harm it in any way. You can place any type of fitness equipment on our Shock Mats like treadmills, ellipticals, and much more.
I was looking into purchasing 3/4 extreme mats in 4’ x 8’ size. I read in the description that they can be made to that size. However, I do not see a buying option for it. Does this mean they were discontinued, or are you out of stock, and I can purchase them at a later time? I am looking into buying 2 mats in that size.
Rommel
The 47" x 94" mat is the 4' x 8' mat. The size shown on the site is the interlocked trued size of the mat.
What size do you need to be able to fit a barbell on it? I have wood tile in the garage, looking for something to protect it. Is the 1-piece mat what it looks like in the example picture with the guy lifting?
If you are looking to drop and barbell on our Shock Mats, you can go with either size mat. The mat shown in the main image on this product is the 4' x 8' mat. This mat was designed to fit under a squat rack.
Will these rubber mats have a chemical reaction with luxury vinyl plank floors and damage them?
Megan Goldfarb
Our 3/4" Shock Mats typically will not have a chemical reaction with luxury vinyl planks. This is due to the planks having a wear layer that keeps the vinyl and rubber from interacting. If you want to install our rubber flooring over luxury vinyl plank and tile and are afraid of staining occurring, we recommend placing a plastic film between the rubber and vinyl to prevent any damage.
Are these mats safe for children? Do these mats have BPA (bisphenol A)?
AAM
Our 3/4" Shock Mats are safe for children. They are tested regularly to ensure that they don't contain any hazardous chemicals or heavy metals. BPA isn't used in rubber. BPA is found in hard plastic material like milk jugs and baby bottles. This plasticizer helps to make these hard plastics somewhat pliable.
What is the total size of the two Shock Mats combined? It says 6' by 7'6"? Is that per pad or for the two pads combined.
Susan Walker
The size of the 6' x 7'6" mat is 6' x 7'6". This mat is a 2-piece mat, so the 6' x 7'6" would be the size of the two mats interlocked.
Can cars be parked on these (or any vulcanized rubber) without deforming/causing indentions in the rubber? I'm thinking of adding these mats to my garage gym but still parking my cars in the garage when not training.
Shaun
Our 3/4" Shock Mats can handle a car going over them on a constant basis. The only thing that you will affect the mats is if there is any oil spilled on them from the car. Over time, this oil will break down the mats.
Do the two pieces of the 6' x 7'6" mat have beveled edges on all four sides? If you lay the two pieces side by side, is there a gap in the middle due to the beveled edge?
Kinga Katalin Farkas
No, the two pieces of the 6' x 7'6" mat are not beveled on all 4-sides, just on three. One side of each mat will have interlocking teeth that will allow you to interlock the two pieces together to create one large mat. These mats interlock very tightly, giving you a virtually seamless appearance.
I would like a mat to place my step boxes (stools) on and use for ultimate absorption for my troublesome knees. I used to do 9 rounds, and their flooring made step-ups a safe workout for me. My knees need as little impact as possible.
Our 3/4" Shock Mats were designed with shock absorption at its core. These rubber mats are perfect for anyone looking for a little added cushion to protect their joints and subfloor. If you had to choose one mat to keep performing your step-up exercises, our Shock Mats would be the one we would recommend.
I'm in a 2nd-floor apartment, and I want to reduce the thumping that running on my treadmill causes for my downstairs neighbors. I'm confused which is better for reduction, these floor tiles or the Rebound Rubber Tiles. The Rebound Rubber Tiles say they reduce noise by 40dB. Would these shock mats be good enough?
DJ
Our Shock Mats have an IIC rating of 56, so they would certainly help reduce the amount of noise heard by the floor below.
Can these mats be used over carpet with an elliptical machine on top of it? I see questions about heavy equipment but nothing specifically about that equipment on top of the mats on top of carpeting. It’s a very low pile carpet but decent padding.
Our 3/4" Shock Mats can be installed over any type of carpet. Once installed, you can place any type of gym equipment on them without damaging the mats or the carpet below. If you have a light-colored carpet, we do recommend placing a plastic sheet between the carpet and the mat(s) to prevent any staining.
Will one 47”x71” be enough for a one-person deadlift coverage? Thanks
Nathalie
Barbells are typically 7' long, so it would be up to you if the single Shock Mat is large enough for deadlifting. If you get the 47" x 71" mat, then the plates will hit the subfloor. There would be enough space for one to stand on the mat comfortably, providing shock absorbency for your joints. If you want to make sure that the plates hit the mat when you are deadlifting, you will want to use the 47" x 94" - 2 piece mat or the 6' x 7'6" - 2 piece mat.
I'd like to do floor exercises and yoga on this mat, but I am worried it is built more for Olympic lifting. Will this mat be too stiff or too hard for my intended purpose?
Kyle
You can do floor exercises on our 3/4" Shock Mats, but they are vulcanized mats meaning they are harder than our standard rubber mats. If you need a mat for yoga or other floor exercises, we recommend using one of our Tough Mats or one of the TRANR mats we offer.
I would like to place the 3/4" Shock Mats over epoxy flooring that was just installed in my garage. Will these mats stain the epoxy flooring?
Our 3/4" Shock Mats will not stain an epoxy floor. If you are concerned that they will, we recommend placing a plastic sheet between the rubber mats and the epoxy floor.

I don't leave product reviews. I'm tired of every company asking for one for any and everything. I bought tape at Ama... and they asked,″ How was your 'scotch tape?'″ Well, uh, it was tape. Sticky, I guess. Give me a break. That said, I'm leaving this review not just for the product, which was very nice indeed, but for the company's extraordinary customer service. Without going into the details, there was a little product glitch. I emailed them and they got back to me lickity split, and not only via email but with several real live phone calls. Now you may be tempted to think this would be annoying and overkill, but it wasn't. My CS rep, Andrea, was and is, incredible. Helpful. Funny. Personable. She could have been helping me exchange a product, hang a picture, make scrambled eggs or land a plane with one engine, and I have no doubt it would all go well, I'd be laughing, and our mission would be accomplished. So, what does this all mean for you, a prospective buyer? Know that when you purchase from this company that they stand behind their products, and that the caliber of their team is impressive. I will be ordering again, and if I'm lucky they're will be a minor problem. I know they'll pounce on it like a hungry cheetah and I'll hang up the phone a thoroughly satisfied customer. Go RF Inc, and Go Andrea!!

Self-installed in Garage

I bought these mats for Olympic lifting in my garage. I received a complaint from my neighbor that their walls were vibrating whenever I dropped the barbell on my 3/4 inch stall mats (covering my garage). Apparently, that wasn't enough to dampen the sound/vibration traveling through the concrete foundation. After laying these shock mats down on top of the 3/4 inch stall mat flooring, I have not had any complaints from the neighbor. Hopefully it will stay that way..

  Excellent for home gym
Self-installed in Finished basement - home gym

This 2 piece mat is an excellent choice for protecting a home gym carpet or basement floor. It is heavy duty and easily absorbs dropped dumbbells or weight plates. The pieces easily interlock together.
