Description - Impact rolls offer a gym flooring solution for those in need of extra shock absorption. Less dense than our standard rolled rubber flooring, these rolls are ideal for plyometric workouts and other high-impact exercise routines. Impact rolls are also highly slip-resistant and can be used outdoors temporarily as roll-out protective flooring. In areas with weight equipment and other heavy exercise equipment impact rolls are not recommended since they are not quite as durable as our regular rolled gym flooring. Even though these low-cost rubber rolls are very economical, they’re backed by a 5-year warranty.
Note: During certain types of running and high-intensity workouts, our impact rolls may start to break down and flake over time. For these types of exercises, we recommend the use of our standard rubber rolls which are more durable and better suited for these types of exercises.
Material – Recycled rubber buffings. This type of recycled rubber is the cleanest available and has the least amount of odor of any recycled rubber product available on the market.
Width – 4'.
Thickness – Available in 3/8" and 1/2" thickness.
Length – Available in 25' and 50' standard lengths.
Weight – 2.03 Lbs. per sqft for the 3/8” thick rolls and 2.91 Lbs. per sqft for the 1/2” thick Impact rubber flooring.
Origin – Made in the USA
Recommended Uses – Impact rolled rubber flooring offers an excellent solution for use as plyometric training mats, and in high-impact studios. This plyometric flooring solution can also be used where jumping and other high-impact exercises are regularly performed and the extra shock absorption would be beneficial to help prevent leg fatigue and/or injury.
Plyometric training flooring is easy to clean. Maintenance of this rolled rubber flooring typically includes:
- Vacuuming any loose dust, dirt, or debris from the rubber flooring surface when necessary.
- Occasional damp mopping of the plyometric matting with a mild soap and water mixture. Some soaps commonly used include Dawn dish detergent and/or Tide laundry detergent.
- This rolled rubber flooring solution is slightly porous to aid in the shock absorption of the rubber and this can cause the Impact flooring to take slightly more time to clean as compared to our regular rolled rubber gym flooring.
Note: Do not use any solvent or oil style cleaners such as Pinesol, Lysol, Murphy’s Oil Soap, WD40, paint thinner, etc. since these types of cleaners will break down the flooring over time.

When installing rolled rubber flooring, it is recommended that you use an adhesive to prevent the rolls from moving around or sliding apart between adjacent rolls. The most common methods of adhering rubber rolls to the subfloor are:
A: Double-Sided Tape Installation
- First, clean your subfloor so that it is free of all dust, dirt, and debris.
- Loose lay your rolls in the room as you would like them to look after a complete installation. Let the rolls relax for 24-48 hours to ensure the proper installation of your new flooring.
- Note: Rolls may be directional, so make sure the color matches on each roll. If the roll colors do not match, flip them or turn them 180 degrees to ensure the color matches.
- Make any necessary cuts to the rolls to fit them into the room using a straight edge and a utility knife with a fresh blade. We recommend leaving a gap around the rolls roughly the thickness of the rolls being used to account for expansion and contraction.
- Roll up the rolls at one end of the room. Apply double-sided tape to the floor along the perimeter of each roll.
- Place the rubber rolls back into position on top of the double-sided tape.
B: Glue Installation
- First, clean your subfloor so that it is free of all dirt, dust, and debris. Also, when gluing your flooring down, it is recommended that the subfloor is free of any moisture.

- Roll up the rolls at one end of the room. Spread a light layer of polyurethane adhesive that is 10’ long (maximum) and unroll the flooring into the adhesive 10’ at a time.
- Repeat this step for every 10’ of roll length until the entire roll has been unrolled into its desired position.
- After all of the rolls have been glued down, it is often recommended to use a 100-pound roller on the floor to guarantee good adherence to the subfloor. If a roller is not available, walking on the flooring in small choppy steps may also work.
