Description - The seam sealer that we offer is moisture cured polyurethane sealant that is designed to be used in a variety of applications. Urethane sealants are typically used as a wood flooring adhesive however they works exceptionally well and are the best adhesive to use when installing rubber flooring. Our polyurethane seam sealer maintains permanent elasticity, is freeze thaw stable to a wide temperature range, and is weather resistant . What this means is that while this adhesive is great for use indoors, it is also designed to be able to handle outdoor use. Seam sealer is normally recommended for use by customers who would like to make sure that there is a water tight seal between adjacent rubber rolls or tile products.
Note – Seam sealer should be used sparingly. Only a fine bead is needed for the product to be effective. Overuse between adjacent rolls may cause the sealant to squeeze out of the seam and spill over on top.
Material – Polyurethane
Color – Black
Size – 300 ml (10.1 fl oz) gun grade tubes
Recommended Uses – Seam sealer made from polyurethane can be used both on indoor flooring projects as well as outdoor floors. This adhesive can be used not only on rubber flooring but has also been used to install laminate floors, wood flooring, cork flooring and cork underlayment, rubber sound control underlayment, stairs treads and nosing, transition strips, OSB, etc. This product works well when installing flooring products over a variety of sub floors including concrete, plywood, particle or chip board, cement, gypsum, asphalt, and radiant heated flooring systems. Customer's who typically use this product require a safe and effective water tight rubber floor surface such as dog kennels and any other area where you want to be sure liquids do not seep through the floor seams.

Customer Questions & Answers

Don't see what you're looking for?
How many ft are covered by your seam sealer tubes?
This is one of the most asked questions when it comes to this product. So depending on the width and depth of the joint you are filling depends on how many linear feet it will cover. To see a graph of this, please see the installation tab on the product page.
Does this sealant come in clear? How long does it last? Can it be used in the seams of wood flooring to provide a moisture proof barrier?
Our Seam Sealer comes in Black only, and it will last as long as you keep your flooring installed. Our seam sealer does provide a moisture proof barrier.
Exactly how and when is the sealer applied? Can it be done in such a way so as not to have the mats glued to the floor? How long does it take to set up?
Our Seam Sealer is applied similarly to caulk. You just place small beads of glue at the seams between flooring pieces. This can be used as an alternative to using standard glue. Our Seam Sealer glue is a polyurethane glue, so depending on the moisture content in the air, depends on how quickly the flooring will cure. The more moisture the faster it will cure, the less the longer it takes. Typically the glue will set in 2-24 hours.
