TechFloor modular tiles are easy to maintain. Cleaning of these multi-use tiles typically includes:
  • Vacuuming or sweeping any loose crumbs, dust, or debris from the tiles when necessary.
  • Hose off or damp mop the floor tiles with a mild soap and water mixture for tough or caked on dirt and/or stains.

Garage tiles are easy to install. Installation of these floor tiles typically includes:
  • Clean your sub floor so that it is free of all dirt, dust, grease, or other foreign material.
  • When installing the hard plastic tiles, we recommend starting in the front left corner of the room and working your way out from there.
  • Make sure the female side (loops) of the tile is facing away from the wall.
  • After filling the left wall with tiles and the adjacent wall, proceed to fill the rest of the room with whole tiles.
  • When you come up to a wall or object, don’t worry. Just measure the area and cut the tiles with a tile cutter or a power saw with a fine-toothed blade and put the trimmed tiles into place.
  • When trimming the tiles into place, make sure you leave about a 3/4” space between the tiles and the wall or obstruction.
  • Once the tiles are in place, you can then snap in the edge pieces, if you purchased them.

Can this tile withstand hydraulic floor jacks and/or jack stands? Will water be trapped below, causing fungus growth?
Dennis
We don't recommend placing floor jacks or stands directly on our Solid Tiles w/ Raised Squares as they will damage the tiles. If you wanted to use either on these tiles, we recommend placing a piece of plywood or a steel plate under them to keep from damaging the flooring. These tiles are mold and mildew resistant and are resistant to fungal growth, so if water does collect under the tiles, you will not have to worry about any issues.
How do you clean the floors after a snowy winter. Can water be applied for cleaning without doing any damage to the floor or concrete?
Gary
To clean our Solid Tiles w/ Raised Squares we recommend the use of a hose and a broom. The broom will help to remove any large debris and dirt, and the hose helps to remove any stuck on dirt, mud and stains.
How do you end the floor at the garage door? Do you have a piece of trim that the garage door sits on or in that runs the width of the garage?
Alan
Techfloor's Solid Tiles w/ Raised Squares have edging that can be added to the entrance of your garage. We offer both male and female edging. You can find these edges on the product page in the accessories section.
We have a solid cement base floor in our garage. Sometime there are some water that appears on it most water penetrating from bellow. How would that impact these tiles? Thank you
Rez
These tiles will not harbor any mold or mildew growth, so moisture under the tiles will not be an issue for the tiles.

Excellent look and fairly easy installation. You definitly need a rubber mallet to install. I purchased the dark grey tiles with the embossed squares. I put down landscaping fabric under the tiles as suggested by another consumer. It was the correct thing to do because it is much quieter. I also installed the beveled edges and front row of tiles first so I could make sure the front was straight and in the correct location. I staggered the beveled strips so each would attach to two tiles hoping it would strengthen the first row. Individual one foot tile is a bit much to install...I needed 390 tiles. Would be nice if they came in 2x2 size. Do yourself a big favor and get knee pads! All in all it is a good product with a great look. I am very satisfied.

Excellent product. I enjoyed laying it down myself. The advisor I had for the purchase was Andrew. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He answered all my questions with his expertise.I wound up with an extra box of tiles which the company agreed to take back and provide me with credit. Very good overall experience.
