Grid-Loc Coin pattern interlocking tiles are easy to maintain. Cleaning of these multiuse tiles typically includes:
  • Vacuuming or sweeping any loose crumbs, dust, or debris from the garage coin tiles when necessary.
  • Hose off or damp mop the garage floor tiles with a mild soap and water mixture for tough or caked on dirt and/or stains.

Garage tiles are easy to install. Installation of these floor tiles typically includes:
  • Clean your sub floor so that it is free of all dirt, dust, grease, or other foreign material.
  • When installing the hard plastic tiles, we recommend starting in the front left corner of the room and working your way out from there.
  • Make sure the female side (loops) of the tile is facing away from the wall.
  • After filling the left wall with tiles and the adjacent wall, proceed to fill the rest of the room with whole tiles.
  • When you come up to a wall or object, don’t worry. Just measure the area and cut the tiles with a tile cutter or a power saw with a fine-toothed blade and put the trimmed tiles into place.
  • When trimming the tiles into place, make sure you leave about a 3/4” space between the tiles and the wall or obstruction.
  • Once the tiles are in place, you can then snap in the edge pieces, if you purchased them.

Customer Questions & Answers

Don't see what you're looking for?
I have a basement that gets wet during heavy rains. It does have two floor drains, so standing water is not a problem. I'm thinking about using the coin grid-loc tiles. My question is would these tiles be suitable for this application. Is the bottom designed so water will flow freely underneath the tiles to the drains. It looks like it would but I'm not sure. Thanks.
Our Coin Grid-Loc tiles would perfectly in your basement. These tiles do allow water to flow underneath the floor. So the water would flow to your drains with ease. If water does get on the surface of the tiles, you will want to try and clean it up as quickly as you can. Water on the tiles could create a slip hazard.
Could you use these tiles in a commercial kitchen?
Our Coin Grid-Loc Tiles are a hard plastic tile and would not provide the proper slip resistance in a commercial kitchen environment. These tiles are also very hard, so they will not give you any anti-fatigue properties. If a coin pattern is what you are looking for, we do have that same pattern in an anti-fatigue mat. It is our Bubble Sof-Tred. This mat would work great in a commercial kitchen environment.
I have a covered concrete porch that doesn't look great; there's a 1/4" crack that's about 2 feet long. Could I use these tiles on my porch? Would what I do about the edge?
You can use our Coin Grid-Loc Tiles on your porch. For the edge, you can use the beveled corners and edges to create a finished floor.
Since this material is hard plastic, am I going to have a problem with my wife and I slipping on the surface? Could this be dangerous on my garage floor?
Our Coin Grid-Loc Tiles are ver slip resistant due to the coin pattern on the surface of the tiles. This tile would not be dangerous as your new garage floor.
What is recommended to be put under the tiles to eliminate sound and keep all moisture from reaching floor.
We recommend placing a rubber underlayment underneath our Coin Grid-Loc Tiles to help to deaden the sound the tiles can make when walked or driven over. Water will still get under the tiles, but it will collect on the surface of the underlay. The product we recommend is our 2mm Shock Pad.

  Best Garage Floor Yet
Self-installed in Garage

I ordered this floor with trepidation that it would be another attempt to cover concrete that would fail. When it arrived 4 days later we installed (2 Men) it in a 48x25 four car garage in 9 hours with many intricate cuts. This is a great system that installs with a rubber mallet and can be cut with a sliding miter box. I am a builder of 30 years and I left most of my skills in my tool box. You do not need to be a master mechanic to install this floor. I would make 2 recommendations !. Start along the garage door walls with a snapped chalk line and lay true to that line. If the floor is out of square you will still have a perfect front edge. Do not let the side walls dictate where the front wall will go. These tiles interlock so you cannot lay out of pattern. @. Use a 15# or 30# tar paper under the floor. It will take the "clickity clack"out of walking on the floor. I also used 2 courses of vented tile near the garage doors to allow melted snow and water to exit under the floor. I'm about to use this product on a commercial entrance since it is skid resistant and looks great Dan Marrazzo

The coin grid-loc tiles came recommended by a friend who also installed them in his garage. He tested them for all sorts of stain making materials and none performed better.

Great product - easy to instal!
Self-installed in Woodworking shop
from San Antonio, TX wrote...
I had originally wanted to apply a polyaspartic/polyurea floor coating to my new woodshop floor. After getting a bid for $4900 to do my 750 square foot shop, I decided instead to go with the coin grid-lock tiles from Rubber Flooring, Inc, which cost me less than half that amount. This was a very good decision. I applied a good underlayment prior to laying the tiles which helped reduce the sound of walking on the tiles and helped seal against moisture. The flooring was easy to install. At one point, I had a four year old working the rubber hammer while I put the tiles in place. I found it easiest to lay a stack of the tiles on the floor in the position they would be laid down, saving the time of turning the tiles until I had them in the right position. The entire 750 sf. shop floor was completely installed in about 14 hours of work. I had to cut one entire row of tiles, but did so with ease using a bandsaw. I highly recommend this product and company. Easy to deal with, fast shipping and a great product.
