  • Hose off or damp mop the garage floor tiles with a mild soap and water mixture for tough or caked on dirt and/or stains.

Coin Grid-Loc Tiles are easy to install. Installation of these floor tiles typically includes:
  • Clean your sub floor so that it is free of all dirt, dust, grease, or other foreign material.
  • When installing the Grip-Loc tiles, we recommend starting in the front left corner of the room and working your way out from there.
  • Make sure the female side (loops) of the tile is facing away from the wall.
  • After filling the left wall with tiles and the adjacent wall, proceed to fill the rest of the room with whole tiles.
  • When you come up to a wall or object, don’t worry. Just measure the area and cut the tiles with a sharp utility knife and put the trimmed tiles into place.
  • When trimming the tiles into place, make sure you leave about a 3/4” space between the tiles and the wall or obstruction.
  • Once the tiles are in place, you can then snap in the edge pieces, if you purchased them.

    Q:

Could you use these tiles in a commercial kitchen?

    A:

Our Coin Grid-Loc Tiles are a hard plastic tile and would not provide the proper slip resistance in a commercial kitchen environment. These tiles are also very hard, so they will not give you any anti-fatigue properties. If a coin pattern is what you are looking for, we do have that same pattern in an anti-fatigue mat. It is our Bubble Sof-Tred. This mat would work great in a commercial kitchen environment.

    Q:

I have a covered concrete porch that doesn't look great; there's a 1/4" crack that's about 2 feet long. Could I use these tiles on my porch? Would what I do about the edge?

    A:

You can use our Coin Grid-Loc Tiles on your porch. For the edge, you can use the beveled corners and edges to create a finished floor.

    Q:

Since this material is hard plastic, am I going to have a problem with my wife and I slipping on the surface? Could this be dangerous on my garage floor?

    A:

Our Coin Grid-Loc Tiles are ver slip resistant due to the coin pattern on the surface of the tiles. This tile would not be dangerous as your new garage floor.

    Q:

What is recommended to be put under the tiles to eliminate sound and keep all moisture from reaching floor.

    A:

We recommend placing a rubber underlayment underneath our Coin Grid-Loc Tiles to help to deaden the sound the tiles can make when walked or driven over. Water will still get under the tiles, but it will collect on the surface of the underlay. The product we recommend is our 2mm Shock Pad.

    Q:

I own a custom rod shop I'm looking for something to use on the flooring that will support the weight of a car on a jack and or jack stands without ripping or taring. Will the tiles work?

    A:

We do not recommend placing jacks or jack stands on our Coin Grid-Loc Tiles. Because the amount of force placed in one area under a jack is great, the tile will start to indent and crack under the pressure. We recommend placing the jack and jack stands on concrete and placing the flooring around them.

    Q:

Is there any problem putting them in a garage floor that can get to 105 degrees? We live in the desert and the garage faces South.

    A:

Our Coin Grid-Loc Tiles have been installed in all parts of the country. The only issue that may arise is when only part of the floor gets sun. You may see some buckling in that area which will subside once the sun goes down. To prevent this, we recommend keeping your garage door closed during peak sun hours and making sure you have and expansion gap around your floor.

    Q:

I have a 800lb safe, would the tiles be able to hold that weight without damaging them?

    A:

Our Coin Grid-Loc Tiles would be able to hold an 800lb safe. They are meant to hold the weight of a car which is typically 2500 lbs. These tiles also have a load bearing capacity of over 250lbs per square inch.

    Q:

Sir, My garage is over 35 years old. Its concrete and pitted and rough from years of salt. I'm retired and money is always and issue. Will your product work over a rough floor like this or should I get it repaved? I'm trusting your honesty. Thank you

    A:

Our Coin Grid-Loc Tiles are a floating floor and can be installed over subfloors that are not perfect. If the floor doesn't have too many bad pits in it, your install should go smoothly, and the floor should perform as stated. If there are some major pits that fall where the floor interlocks, then you will nee to fill those in. If that is not possible, you can go with our Nitro Rolls which are better over floors with a lot of imperfections.

    Q:

Do you think I can use it for open deck (subjected to sun, rain, snow)Will I need vented tiles too ?

    A:

For this type of application we would recommend using tiles specifically recommended for outdoor use such as our outdoor tiles, drainage tiles or composite decking tiles.

    Q:

I have a basement that gets wet during heavy rains. It does have two floor drains, so standing water is not a problem. I'm thinking about using the coin grid-loc tiles. My question is would these tiles be suitable for this application. Is the bottom designed so water will flow freely underneath the tiles to the drains. It looks like it would but I'm not sure. Thanks.

    A:

Our Coin Grid-Loc tiles would perfectly in your basement. These tiles do allow water to flow underneath the floor. So the water would flow to your drains with ease. If water does get on the surface of the tiles, you will want to try and clean it up as quickly as you can. Water on the tiles could create a slip hazard.

Best Garage Floor Yet
5/5 Coin Grid-Loc Tiles
Dan Marrazzo from Langhorne Pa
I ordered this floor with trepidation that it would be another attempt to cover concrete that would fail. When it arrived 4 days later we installed (2 Men) it in a 48x25 four car garage in 9 hours with many intricate cuts. This is a great system that installs with a rubber mallet and can be cut with a sliding miter box. I am a builder of 30 years and I left most of my skills in my tool box. You do not need to be a master mechanic to install this floor. I would make 2 recommendations !. Start along the garage door walls with a snapped chalk line and lay true to that line. If the floor is out of square you will still have a perfect front edge. Do not let the side walls dictate where the front wall will go. These tiles interlock so you cannot lay out of pattern. @. Use a 15# or 30# tar paper under the floor. It will take the "clickity clack"out of walking on the floor. I also used 2 courses of vented tile near the garage doors to allow melted snow and water to exit under the floor. I'm about to use this product on a commercial entrance since it is skid resistant and looks great Dan Marrazzo

The coin grid-loc tiles came recommended by a friend who also installed them in his garage. He tested them for all sorts of stain making materials and none performed better.

Great product - easy to instal!
5/5 Coin Grid-Loc Tiles
John R from San Antonio, TX
I had originally wanted to apply a polyaspartic/polyurea floor coating to my new woodshop floor. After getting a bid for $4900 to do my 750 square foot shop, I decided instead to go with the coin grid-lock tiles from Rubber Flooring, Inc, which cost me less than half that amount. This was a very good decision. I applied a good underlayment prior to laying the tiles which helped reduce the sound of walking on the tiles and helped seal against moisture. The flooring was easy to install. At one point, I had a four year old working the rubber hammer while I put the tiles in place. I found it easiest to lay a stack of the tiles on the floor in the position they would be laid down, saving the time of turning the tiles until I had them in the right position. The entire 750 sf. shop floor was completely installed in about 14 hours of work. I had to cut one entire row of tiles, but did so with ease using a bandsaw. I highly recommend this product and company. Easy to deal with, fast shipping and a great product.

Great Product
5/5 Coin Grid-Loc Tiles
C. Bunker from Austin, TX
As others have stated in their reviews this is a very good product. They ship quickly and the product goes down easily. I did put down the roofing felt that others had recommended but I still did my whole 19' X 19' garage by myself in about 4 hours. One tip... instead of using a hammer, I would align the corner connecting to the others in place and kick it in with my leg/feet. Kept me from having to bend over very much. I wound up being short 3 pieces due to my own error, so I ordered those. They promptly sent them to me without any shipping charge! I would say these are great folks.

Easy to install, but not so tough.

The tiles were very easy to install and look great! I used table saw with plywood blade to speed up trimming the pieces that needed it. I have only had it installed for a few days and there are already a couple of scars. The material is very easily scarred.

Kevin from Gainesville, Ga
I have a 24 x 20 2 car garage in a new home we recently purchased in Gainesville Ga.

I wanted a finished floor with an interesting design and easy to clean.

The online design tool is easy to use and the quantities are exact.

Easy to order and the tiles arrived quickly via UPS.

I installed the tiles myself in about 3 hours and used weed block fabric underneath to lessen any noise.

Great product, great price, great service and looks awesome- even my wife is impressed.

Garage too nice to use!
5/5 Coin Grid-Loc Tiles
Chip Boyle from Tryon, NC
We couldn't be happier with our new coin floor tiles. We have a 22x21 garage with some well worn built-in wood shelving. The prior owner had a dog run in the garage so you can imagine what the once painted concrete floor looked like. I ordered extra tiles to do the shelves, 4 tiers 8' long and 18" deep. Our driveway is pea gravel so I ordered the sand color to prevent noticeable tire tracking. I highly recommend that you buy or preferably borrow a water tray tile saw with an adjustable fence. I had to use an adjustable speed sabre saw for the 80 or so cuts. Don't use a circular saw. The blade speed friction melts the tile. The floor was relatively level so no need for an under layer to prevent "clacking." A perfect product easily installed.
