  A Five-Star garage
Self-installed in Garage
Anonymous from Destin, FL wrote...
We were looking for something to cover the garage floor which would be full of boxes after the moving van arrived. In my search, I discovered this wonderful tile which would be exactly perfect since Florida tends to be humid and promote mold and mildew. This tile is 3/4 of an inch off the floor with an open venting system. So I ordered the two colors I love and when they arrived my husband and I started snapping them together. It was amazingly simple and fast. After a few hours we had a classy looking garage. We decided to do the classic checkerboard pattern, since the boxes would cover the tiles at this point. (I'm including a photo.) We are extremely happy with our ″new looking″ garage. And the best thing is should we ever decide to move again, or even simply want a different pattern, these tiles can easily be stacked in a box and carried to a new home to be used again!

My company has used this product for commercial applications, so when I decided to cover the floor of my pool area cabana, I knew this was the right choice. These tiles will not warp with sun exposure, they are not slippery, they aren’t uncomfortable to walk on with bare feet, they are super easy to install and they look great. They are also very easy to snap together and pull up, so cleaning should be no issue. To cut the tiles, I used a table saw with a 200 teeth, 10” plywood blade. The only issue was the heat of the blade caused the plastic to melt as it cut. Not a major issue, just had to make the cuts faster, then sand/file the plastic burr’s away; a little time consuming but totally worth it. The cost per sq. ft. may be more than other products, but there’s a reason for that. This is a commercial grade tile that will last for years to come. Don’t be cheap!

I did a lot of research and ordered samples before deciding to go with the Swisstrax Ribtrax floor tile. I like that they are larger tiles (15.75 x 15.75 vs 12 x 12)and they are also thicker tiles (3/4 inch vs 1/2 inch). I went with the Pearl Silver which looks GREAT! They cost a little more but are definitely worth it. I waited until they had 30% sale so got a great price with free shipping. If you buy these direct from Swisstrax you will pay a couple of hundred dollars for shipping so Garage Flooring Inc. is a great place to purchase them. The customer service is excellent. I completed installation myself in about 5 hours. They are very easy to install. I have had these installed for about 2 months and have nothing negative to say at this point. I have a 1.5 inch lip coming into my garage which did cause a problem with tiles moving for my neighbor which we solved by purchasing a metal ramp directly from Swisstrax. It works great and I highly recommend. I am a do-it-yourself guy so also build custom cabinets to finish off my dream garage.

Pedestal for my tricked out Triumph Bonneville
Self-installed in garage
RxBow from Bucks County, PA wrote...
Bought your 3/4″ (highest) tile floor to keep my old Triumph Bonneville off the wet floor in the long PA winters. I installed the snap together about as fast as you can unload the shipping box and it is beautiful. Although I only did a cubby hole area of the garage (smaller purchase for the company), the on line salesman stayed with me through all my questions and recommended the best floor for me. Highly recommended all the way around!

Even those these tiles were a little more expensive than many of the the other tiles, I really liked the color selection that this product offered. I went with a checkered board pattern with a border around the floor with the blue, white and black. I am one satisfied customer.

  Easy to install garage tile
Self-installed in 2 car garage
Ryan from Las Vegas, NV wrote...
I had been looking to improve the floor of my garage for awhile now. A few years ago, I used epoxy and now it is really starting to look bad. So after going from site to site I came across these guys. They by far had the best prices that I found and a really good selection of floor options to choose from. These tiles were the ones that caught my eyes since they are larger. I have a pretty large garage a little larger than a 2 car garage and I really wanted to get a tile that was a little larger so it wouldn't take so long to install. These installed in a breeze and are even pretty easy to pull up if need be. I also got the little clips after speaking with one of the reps. I would suggest getting those, they make the install easier too. Really love my new floor and my garage is now the envy of the neighborhood.
