Excellent Garage Upgrade

I am extremely pleased with how these tiles look installed in my garage. They are a very cost effective flooring option. I ordered the tiles on Tuesday and was installing them on Friday. The online designer makes ordering a snap. Turned out better than I had hoped. Really finishes the look of my garage.

Turned Out Fantastic!

from Rocky Mount, NC wrote...
I am attaching a photo of my redone floor, I think you will agree that it came out fantastic! I originally ordered a little over 400 sq. feet of the diamond pattern Nitro tiles to lay down on my garage floor. At first they looked perfect and I was extremely happy with them however t when the weather got warmer I noticed problems with the tiles that were in the direct sunlight. When I would open my garage door it would get so warm these tiles would expand. With the vehicles on them they had no room to expand and would buckle and it was very unattractive. I called your company back and after working with a couple of agents Garage Flooring Inc. decided to replace out the entire floor under warranty with vented tiles. I have since replaced the floor out and as you can see from the photo it looks fantastic. The new tile system provides a lot of room for expansion and I no longer have the buckling issues. So now quite frequently I leave my garage doors open and I love to show off my flooring! I have had comments on how nice it looks from everyone who has seen it. My vehicles look great on it and it really has that showroom feel. The price was more affordable that putting down epoxy and in my opinion it looks as nice as any garage floor I have seen.

Love It

I cannot say enough how much I love my new garage floor after installing the Nitro Tiles. It was so easy with the online design software and I had no trouble laying the floor down. I did my 18x17 garage floor in under 4 hours by myself. I do not think a rubber mallet should be recommended. It should be required. Maybe garageflooringinc.com should include one :-) The team at GFI could not have been easier to work with and I had the impression that they genuinely care about the happiness of their customers. Every company should treat their customers this well. One little tip, I added a coat of floor wax and wow did that floor pop. I hated to drive the cars onto it.

Nice Look for a reasonable price

I purchased this tile a couple of months ago and just installed it today. It's been too hot for the last few weeks to do anything in the garage. The tiles installed rather easy once we discovered the best way to attach it to the adjacent tile. We even had our 6 year old daughter assisting because she wanted to get in on the action. Our garage size is about 20X18 and it took us approximately 3 hours to install. The hardest work was getting everything out of the garage to get the tile installed. Overall, I would recommend the tile. It definitely upgrades the look of our garage. We are happy with the way it installed and we are hopeful that it stands up to the test of time.

Easy Product To Install

Easy product to install. Comes pre-assembled in 2 x 2 squares which makes the install process go much faster than if they were individual. You can seperate them as needed. I started in the left corner of garage at the roll up garage door and worked back and right to complete the install. I was able to use the garage door as the line to keep everything square throughout the install. I used a table saw and jig saw to make the cuts needed to keep the install clean looking edge to edge. It took 8 hours to do 650 sq feet in my 3 car garage which included removing everything, putting it all back and clean up. You can't do that with epoxy. It is also much nicer to walk on bare foot than concrete. Overall, I am very happy with the product.

Great Choice!

Nitro Tiles are a great choice when you want to improve the appearance and functional use of your garage and workspace. I was able to choose the colors and sizes with the tool you can use to create width and length of your garage flooring needs. I find these tiles to be strong and has been one of my favorite projects to do after buying a sports car. I personally chose Blue and Black but you have many choices. Pricing was ideal and after the order was placed, it shipped to my home quickly delivered in boxes. If you are looking for a functional and great looking floor, I'd say give them a try!

Looks great, BUT as soon as the sun hits it it buckles, lifts and waves more than a couple of inches.only in direct sunlight. Remove sun it goes back to normal.

Floor Enhancement

Been looking for concrete floor covering and came across this product by RubberFlooring. I was able to cover a standard size of 8X18 (typical one car size)for less than the known brand on the market. Function and looks are great. Once you figure out how the pieces go together, putting them together according to a pattern I drew up, becomes fairly easy. I used a rubber mallet to assist in locking the pieces together. No more cold floors and my pattern enhances my specialty trike vehicle. The folks at RubberFlooring are very consumer oriented and aim to correct any issues that you might come across. This tile is very easy to clean.

Almost perfect

The product is almost perfect for my needs. There were only two problems: 1. On occasion the male tabs would snap when trying to connect them. 2. In direct sunlight the floor can "lift up". The first issue is solve by helping the tabs down into the female connector by using a flat balde screw driver is it seems too tight to push in. The second only occurs on hotter days with direct sunlight falling on the floor. When this happens they raise up, but return to their original form as soon as the sun has gone and they cool. I'm planning on using an adhesive to hold down tiles in those locations.

I Installed these in my 3rd Garage for my classic car. Finished off the garage nice and added to where I store my car. They swell in the direct sun and tend to raise off the floor. Maybe alternating a few of the vented ones would help. I don't leave the door open often so it is really not a big issue. A statement from the web site about the heat issue would be helpful in decision making.

The look is fantastic in finishing off my "man" garage. Went down easy with just a rubber hammer. Cut easy with a radial saw.

I am very pleased with Garageflooringinc.com, their customer service, and the product. Shipping was very fast! Some of the edging was on back order but they still arrived about a week after the tiles arrived. I received e-mails and calls from their customer service department with status on the back order which was very nice of them. I went ahead and installed the tiles anyway and installed the edging later which was a breeze. It took me about two hours to lay down all the tiles, about 220 square feet. This included cutting some tiles with a cordless circular saw. I have received may compliments thus far.

Very easy to install, did it by myself in about 4 hours for a 2 car garage. I would recommend this before putting down stuff like vinyl. I put Vinyl down the first time but when you turn your wheels on your car it rips it up. This tile is very durable. I like how easy it is to install just snaps into place with each other. Love it

Weekend DIY Project
Self-installed in Garage
from Connecticut wrote...
Easier than I thought to install, but because my garage is pretty big (40x24), I decided to do 2x2 squares so it wouldn’t look too busy, so I didn’t have to break them apart out of the box, made assembly way easier and minimized breaking any of the tabs. Still broke a few tabs assembling, but there are enough tabs that it didn’t affect anything. I installed a roofing underlayment underneath the tiles (Tiger Paw Roof Deck Protection) that reduces any noise and prevents water penetration. As for the colors, I used black, victory red and gunmetal...but I did order sample prior too, and they came super quick. Shipping on all the garage tiles was fairly fast, I’m not sure if they shipped when they said they would, think it was a few days later, but fit my schedule so no worries. The tiles only took about 8 hours for me to install, including the underlayment, but the trimming of the back wall (40’) and all three garage door rails and some misc cutting near the man doors took another 4-5 hours. Regardless, easy weekend job. And to cut tiles, I used a jig saw on low speed, ripped right through (used a piece of wood clamped to the tile to guide the saw for a straight cut) and then ran a file over the edge to clean up. Very impressed with these tiles and the look and will recommend them.

Buckles
Self-installed in Garage
from Florida wrote...
I first installed 420 sq ft of coin pattern Nitro tile. While 340 sq ft could go down applying the next row would buckle three inches high. The tiles were of two different shades of Sahara Sand and felt like two different flexibilities. After shuffling these tiles, reassuring 3/4 inch perimeters over and over I called a different RubberFlooring representative, and after installing three rows of vented tiles and still going nowhere, with the help of Chaz and Tonia I received a replacement order of all vented tiles. Not really encouraged with no explanation as to why the coin pattern buckled I took on one more try and installed for a fourth time with a beautiful outcome. The tiles went down easily, cut easier, are much quieter and the appearance is impressive. I would recommend the vented over coin pattern, however, the coin pattern all of the same manufacturer's lot might have worked. I would recommend placing weed webbing material on the concrete under the tiles to quiet the reflected sound of your footsteps. Also, from experience, these tiles are made to be put down and lock together easily. Not so true about pulling them back up. If you have to I recommend you wear gloves and wrist protectors.
