You can install our 8mm Strong Rubber Rolls - Designer Series without glue or tape. Even though this product can be used in a garage, it is not the best flooring option for that environment. Can it be used over a wooden outdoor deck to prevent rain seeping through?
Our 8mm Strong Rubber Rolls - Designer Series can be installed over an outdoor wooden deck. They are semi-porous, so some water may seep through, but this will help to diminish the amount of water seeping through greatly. To truly make this a water-resistant flooring surface, we recommend using our floor finish and sealer and using seam sealer glue at the seams of the rolls. This will ensure no water flows through.

Wheelchair and Electric Scooters roll over our 8mm Strong Rubber Rolls - Designer Series with ease. The rubber rolls are heavy and dense, so the wheelchairs and scooters will not catch on the edge of the floor and pull it up when not adhered.
Is this flooring a synthetic rubber or from the tree itself? Is there off gassing associated with the product?
Our 8mm Strong Rubber Rolls - Designer Series rolls are made with SBR rubber which is synthetic rubber. We can't guarantee that these rolls are latex free, but they would have very little to no latex in most orders. The product does have some smell to it which can be mitigated by mopping the flooring with a mild soap and water solution and letting it air dry. You may have to repeat this step a few times to get your desired result.
I am looking to find out if this rubber flooring could be used in horse stalls for a barn im building. Is this material Porous?
Our 8mm Strong Rubber Roll - Designer Series can be used as flooring in horse stalls. This product is somewhat porous, but will not allow liquids to go through the floor. If urine were to sit on the floor and dry, what will be left are the salt crystals. These crystals can get stuck in the pores creating a look that may not be desirable. Other than that, these rolls are very slip resistant when wet, will give the horse plenty of comfort and are very easy to clean and maintain.
We have a slate kitchen floor which we found that if a jar falls from a cabinet it will crack. To protect this new floor from cracking could this rubber runner be placed unglued down the middle of the elongated kitchen and protect the floor from cracks. Our 8mm Strong Rubber Rolls - Designer Series is very easy to clean and maintain. These rubber rolls are somewhat porous, but if a liquid is spilled on the floor, it will not go through the floor. If 8mm is somewhat porous if used in a kitchen will it absorb fluids/spills or if you clean the spill up quickly will it still leave stain spots. Like a glass of red wine, spaghetti sauce, mustard spot, etc. You know those very stainable type things you find in any kitchen.
If you spill any liquids on our 8mm Strong Rubber Rolls - Designer Series the liquid would sit on top of the flooring for a period. If you were to spill say red wine or spaghetti sauce, they would not stain the flooring. One thing you may notice with more solid substances, like spaghetti sauce, is that as you clean them up, there is potential for the sauce to get caught in the pores. When using our rubber flooring in a kitchen environment, we would recommend sealing the floor with our Rubber Floor Finish and Sealer to truly prevent any foreign substances getting in the pores of the floor. Also, sealing the flooring would make it much easier to clean.
