Several years ago I purchased a marble type mat but it is hard. Are these mats soft?

Can this mat be used in my home kitchen? Would it be too easy to trip on? I cook a lot, and regular kitchen mats aren't good enough. Also, is the 1" thick too much of a tripping hazard?

Our Marble Sof-Tyle mats can be used in both home and commercial kitchens. These mats feature a rubber top that helps to keep the mat very slip-resistant even when wet. These anti-fatigue mats are an inch thick but are tapered to reduce inherent tripping hazards. So you won't have to worr about tripping over this kitchen mat in your kitchen.
