Customer Questions

Don't see what you're looking for?
I have a metal cabinet with 4 legs. It is one of those large huskey metal shelf cabinets and has 4 legs. I think it is maybe 2000 lbs of weigh when it is full. Will the legs piece through the swiss track rib tiles?
Hai Nguyen
We would recommend putting a durable sheet of plywood or metal between the legs and the ribbed tiles to maintain longevity of the tiles.
What is the weight that the plastic tiles can hold? Full size Trucks?
joe
Swisstrax Tiles can hold a rolling weight of 60,000+ lbs.
Are they at all slippery when wet / do they have good traction? We'll be walking on them in wet ski boots, and I'm concerned that ski boots may be slippery on hard tiles like this.
The most slip-resistant tile in the Swisstrax Garage Tile line is the Ribtrax Tiles. These are vented tiles and would allow water to flow through the tiles. Diamondtrax is also slip-resistant due to the pattern. Vinyltrax would be the only floor that would be quite slippery when wet. If you are wanting to walk over these tiles with ski boots, we would recommend using a rubber flooring surface. We do offer a rubberized version of the Ribtrax Tiles. Our 3/4" Endurance Rubber Tiles are the same as the Ribtrax Tiles in the standard version and the smooth version. The only thing is that they come in one color, Black.
If they are sitting directly on a cement floor, do they rattle when you walk on them?
All of our hard plastic tiles, including the Swisstrax Garage Tiles, will make noise when installed over any hard surface. To help mitigate this noise and add comfort underfoot, we recommend placing our 2mm ShockPad under the tiles.
